Central Colorado Springs includes a large geographic area that includes our wonderful Downtown. The zip code 80903 and parts of 80907, 80909 and 80910 are all considered the Central part of Colorado Springs.

In this area you will find an abundance of parks, trails and a wide variety of architecture. Downtown Colorado Springs is home to Colorado College which was founded in the 1874.Downtown historically was the hub of Colorado Springs and is presently in the early stages of it’s Renaissance. The United States Olympic Museum will open in 2020 on the southwest corner of downtown anchoring a development that will increase the urban downtown by 35%. The City Stadium will be built 1/4 mile to the south and 2 miles to the north on the south end of Colorado College, Robson Arena, both expected to open by 2022.

Central Colorado Springs is perfect for people looking for unique architecture, an urban setting, and the ability to walk or bike to a variety of destinations. The downtown area has an abundance of great local restaurants, shops and cultural activities. Because downtown is convenient to I-25 via the Cimarron, Bijou and Uintah exits, residents in the central area can expect to reach most anywhere in the county within 30 minutes or less.
